We Look Back On 2014 And Look Forward To 2015
2014 has been an incredible year for Sheridan Insurances. This year marked
our 50th year in business and we made sure we celebrated every minute.
We would like to take a moment to thank you for your support throughout
the year. Without the support of our customers, suppliers and team,
Sheridan Insurances would not be the thriving company it is today.
In March, we celebrated our 50th year in business by hosting a black tie
ball for our staff members including those who have retired. It was a fantastic
night in Ferrycarrig Hotel and a great way to bring each office together to
celebrate our achievement in business.
Through-out the year we have supported many local charities, charity events
and supported local communities. We supported ‘Relay 4 Life’ in Kilkenny, this
was a 24 hour walk/run. It was an amazing day, we met cancer survivors and
people that lost a loved one to cancer. We also took part in the ‘Panto Horse’
race in Wexford. Which raised much needed funds for the ‘Irish Hospice Foundation’.
This year was an award winning year for Sheridan Insurances. In June, we
were awarded the ‘Ecommerce and Social Media’ award at Wexford Business
Awards. This was a huge achievement for Sheridans as we competed against
some of the most popular and established businesses in the country. In
November, Paddy Sheridan was awarded’ The Lifetime Achievement’
Award at the Annual IBA lunch for his contribution to the Insurance industry.
I can’t write a review of the year without mentioning our dear friend and
mentor, Ronan Furlong. Ronan sadly passed away in May this year. He
was a valued member of our management team and we miss him dearly.
Without his encouragement, guidance and support, we don’t believe
Sheridan Insurances would be the organisation we are today.
