In this week’s Employee Spotlight, it’s a pleasure to introduce our colleague Paul Roche. Paul is a member of our IT team in Ireland and he assists us with day-to-day IT queries while also being involved with project work for technical integration. We spoke to Paul about his experience at Gallagher to date and what he has learned since joining the company.
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I enjoy problem solving and working with people, which are both very much involved in my IT job.
What’s the best thing about your colleagues?
The best thing about my colleagues would be the welcoming environment they created when I first started, as this was my first time working in an office space. It was very welcoming.
What are you most proud of about your time at Gallagher so far?
I am proud to have been given the chance to be involved in the integration to Gallagher systems back in June and all the work that led up to it. This included setting up user profiles and preparing the office space for technical changeover.
What’s the biggest challenge you face?
The biggest challenge I found was adapting to such a different working environment to my old job, I learned many new things in the first few months with Gallagher including office etiquette and what it means to be part of The Gallagher Way.
